AUTHOR GUIDELINES Journal of K6, Education, and Management (JK6EM)
1 General Information
Authors are encouraged to consult a recently published article in this journal before preparing their manuscript. All submissions must be made through the journal's online submission system. To meet the standards of leading international indexing databases, including Scopus and Web of Science (WoS), manuscripts must demonstrate originality, scholarly rigour, and a clear contribution to the field.
2 Submission Declaration and Ethics
3 Withdrawal Policy
Authors are free to withdraw an article at no charge, as long as it is withdrawn within 15 days of its initial submission. After this period, withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the editorial office.
4 Types of Articles
Manuscripts should be submitted in one of the following formats. Word counts include the main text, tables, and references, but exclude the title page, abstract, and keywords. These limits are aligned with Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) indexing standards.
| Article Type | Min Words | Max Words | Abstract | Keywords | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Full Original Research | 3,000 | 6,000 | 150–250 | 3–6 | Structured abstract required (IMRaD) |
| Review Article | 5,000 | 8,000 | 150–250 | 3–6 | Comprehensive critical synthesis of literature |
| Mini-Review | 2,000 | 4,000 | 150–200 | 3–6 | Focused on a specific or emerging topic |
| Short Communication | 1,000 | 2,500 | 100–150 | 3–5 | Preliminary or novel findings; unstructured abstract |
| Commentary | 500 | 1,000 | 100–150 | 3–5 | Max 1 figure/table; limited references |
| Letter to the Editor | 300 | 1,000 | Not required | 3–5 | Max 1 figure/table; max 10 references |
Note: Word counts exclude the title page, abstract, keywords, acknowledgements, author contributions, and reference list unless otherwise stated. All article types must comply with Scopus and WoS standards for citation quality, language clarity, and ethical reporting.
5 Manuscript Preparation
Format: All manuscripts must be submitted in DOC format, written in clear and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscript professionally proofread prior to submission, in line with Scopus and WoS language quality standards.
Title Page must include:
6 Abstract and Keywords
Abstract: A structured abstract of 150–250 words is required for every manuscript. The abstract must clearly state the Introduction/Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. It should be able to stand alone, as it is often indexed separately by Scopus and WoS. References and non-standard abbreviations should be avoided. Short Communications may use an unstructured abstract of 100–150 words.
Keywords: Three to six relevant keywords must be provided immediately after the abstract. Keywords should be specific, searchable, and aligned with controlled vocabulary (e.g., Scopus subject headings or Web of Science categories) to maximise discoverability and citation potential.
7 Manuscript Structure
Introduction — Minimum 400 words, maximum 600 words. Provides adequate background supported by relevant and recent references. The final paragraph must clearly state the objectives and research questions.
Methods — Minimum 500 words (qualitative studies may vary). Provides sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Must include research design, participants/sample, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis approach. Studies involving human participants must state ethical approval and informed consent.
Results — No strict word limit; should be clear, descriptive, and concise. The same data must not be presented in more than one figure or in both a figure and a table.
Discussion — Minimum 600 words. Explores the significance of the results in relation to existing literature. Must address implications, limitations, and directions for future research, as expected by Scopus and WoS reviewers.
Conclusion — 150–300 words. A concise summary of the main findings and their contribution to the field.
Acknowledgements — Maximum 100 words. Authors should acknowledge all scientific, technical, statistical, and financial support. All funding sources must be declared, including grant numbers where applicable.
Author Contributions — A statement specifying the individual contributions of each author is required (e.g., conceptualisation, methodology, data collection, writing, reviewing), in line with CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) standards recognised by Scopus and WoS.
Conflict of Interest — Authors must declare any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest, or state that none exist.
Data Availability Statement — Authors are encouraged to include a statement on the availability of data underlying the findings of the study.
